What is Moodylenses?
Moodylenses is a contact lens brand. They specialize in comfortable and natural-looking colored contact lenses that are perfect for everyday wear and special occasions. According to their website, the name Moody is inspired by “the exploration and expression of our multi-facet inner self.”
They have a wide array of colours and collections inspired by things like bubble tea and galaxies. You may have also seen your favourite beauty influencers wear them like Jessica Vu and Steph Hui!
This Moodylenses review covers two types of brown, pinks, and one type of grey daily contact lenses. I will go over things like colour payoff and how well they hold up in everyday wear and special occasions like music festivals and date nights!
Why You Can Trust Me to Review Moodylenses
I’ve been wearing contact lenses daily since I started wearing them in highschool (over 9 years!) so I’m very particular about the contacts I wear.
I especially love to wear coloured contact lenses because they are a great way to top off a makeup look.
I also have dark brown eyes, so finding coloured contacts that are vibrant yet natural looking can be a struggle!
Coloured contacts aren’t super accessible in Vancouver, so I often have to sift through a lot of youtube videos, tiktoks, and ask friends to find a good pair. It was tough to find good affordable coloured contact lenses (Back in 2019 I bought a pair of green contact lenses that cost $200- eek!)
So now I’m very glad brands like Moodylenses make coloured contacts affordable and stylish!

Moodylenses Coloured Contact Lenses
Cocoa Gleam 🧸 a charming cool-toned brown
Cocoa Gleam is a cool-toned light-medium brown.
I love these lenses because they make my dark brown eyes sparkle✨ It looks great in natural light photos like these two. I wore this on a date and let me tell you, he could not keep his eyes off of me haha
It is slightly brighter than Amber Tears, since it features a dark brown outer ring to give the eyes more definition.
Amber Tears 💌 an alluring warm caramel brown
This is the shade Amber Tears, which is a warm blend of yellow undertones and a pink highlight.
For dark brown eyes, it gives the perfect effect of “my eyes, but better.”
This shade is very flattering especially for my coquette girlies who want to achieve a subtle light brown eye colour. It pairs really well with this romantic, sentimental makeup look.
Rosette Nebula 🌷 a sweet and flirty cool-toned pink
Rosette Nebula features soft pink layers and muted gold flecks. It sort of reminds me of the petals of a rosebud.
I wore these contacts to go with my all-pink outfit for Seven Lions. It was kind of scary wearing pink lenses, but these ones add just a soft touch of pink. I got a ton of compliments wearing them this night!
I didn’t have the best lighting for these pictures as the sun was going down when I took them- but the pink is noticeable up close. So if you are looking for pink lenses but want to keep it subtle, Rosette Nebula is perfect.
Dusty Peach ☁️ a dreamy purple pink
Dusty Peach is a cool toned pink. This is my favorite set out of all, which I didn’t expect because it’s so outside my comfort zone!
It looks wistful and dreamy. There is no outer ring, so it gives the eyes a soft effect. It gives off an innocent sweet vibe, whereas Amber Tears (my second favourite) is slightly more bold and romantic.
These lenses are just so beautiful in person and in natural light, I don’t think the photo does it much justice.
One thing to note is that Dusty Peach isn’t really peach- its is more of a lilac pink, so it would pair really well with purple blushes like this one from Romand.
Gravity Vinyl 💿 an enchanting grey with sparkles
Last but not least is Gravity Vinyl, a gray featuring soft gold sparkles.
Up close, it looks like I’ve got stars in my eyes! From a normal distance they look like a cool grey brown with a bit of gold highlight. Alluring and wistful, Gravity Vinyl would look especially pretty for a date night or a GNO.
Makeup Essentials:
Coloured contacts are a great way to complete your look, and I encourage you to explore and experiment with different styles! Here are some of my top beauty recommendations to try out with your new pair of Moodylenses:
Eye Glitters. I really like the Peri Pera Sugar Twinkle in 01 (it gives off an opalescent, pearly yet slightly rosy look). There’s a good amount of glitter chunky and fine glitter that will make your Moodylenses pop.
You can also opt for an eyeshadow palette, and most K-beauty eyeshadow palettes include both a fine and creamy glitter (my fave one is the Peri Pera My Autumn Mood Palette.)
As a good rule of thumb, try to focus your makeup on two main focal points of your face. So if the lenses you pick are on bolder side, have the makeup focus on your eyes and then either your lips or cheeks. This way, your makeup looks natural.
Is Moodylenses Comfortable?
Yes, Moodylenses are super comfortable and hydrating! I didn’t have any issues with them, and they didn’t dry out and stayed in place for all-day wear.
Is Moodylenses Worth it?
Whether you are a new or longtime contact lens wearer, Moodylenses is for you! These coloured contact lenses are hydrating, comfy, and feature a wide shade range so you’re guaranteed to find the perfect shade to suit any makeup look.
