My skin type has changed quite drastically from acne-prone during my high school to, well, oily, acne-prone, dry, and sensitive combination skin 😅 So these days, I’m very appreciative of brands like Tower 28 who formulate products made for tricky skin types, while still providing all of the benefits of skincare and the fun in makeup!
My dear friend Miucci gifted me their Dream Team set for my graduation, which includes two full sizes of their bestselling, award-winning cheek and lip duo!

Beach Please Luminous Tinted Balm in Magic Hour
This. Balm. The glow is UNREAL. It works wonderfully as an eyeshadow, lip or cheek stain. The sleek, clear design fits comfortably in the palm of my hand and in my bag wherever I go (and trust, I’m never letting this baby out of my reach). This balm melts from a creamy to a powdery finish and is so easy to build. I was convinced it really was magic. I went with a good ol’ sponge and fingertips, but it works well with any tool. True to the name, Magic hour gives your skin or lips a wonderfully golden flush, which I found amazing, considering I wore this out on a gloomy, cloudy afternoon in the middle of June (ah, Vancouver).
ShineOn Milky Lip Jelly Gloss in Pistachio
I have dry, flaky lips, so I tend to steer away from glosses unless I’ve prepped in advance by wearing lip balm for about week straight. The ShineOn Milky Lip Jelly Gloss is formulated with ingredients like apricot kernel oil and raspberry seed oil to give lips a soft, supple shine. It stays on for non-sticky, flaky, or clumpy all-day wear. Because it is more of a sheer milky finish than a high shine gloss, it makes the perfect lippie to reach for if you’re looking for something natural, but not invisible.
Apart from the rest of their shades, I’m looking into purchasing their SOS Daily Rescue Facial Spray at the next Sephora VIB sale. What do you think? If you found this review helpful, let me know or suggest what you want me to review next here!
